Just dance

For writing, we were asked to make an animation about a story, or you could make up your own story which is what I did.

LIfe is like a roller coaster.

We were shown the Forest Gump clip when he says" Life is like a box of chocolates. You don't know what you are going to get." We had to describe what life was like in another way. Also, we were told to tell some terrible things that have happened in our life. The points I made weren't actually the worst, they were the ones that come straight of the top of my head. I chose to do "Life is like a roller coaster." because I thought it suited what life was like.

Dog safety

For reading, we had to create a poster or display to convey a message about safety using information from the Safety-Wise magazine. I chose to focus on Dog Safety because it is relative to me. I have 2 awesome dogs and usually, I see other dogs when I go to friends and/or any of my family's house. I also see dogs around at school which is important that I keep myself safe.

The story of Tokerau

Recently we have been asked to retell a story about the naming of a place in the Muriwhenua area as an animation or story. I chose Tokerau - a small place on the northern East Coast on the Karikari Peninsula.

Google Docs Challenge

Recently we have done the Google Docs Challenge. I knew most of them so(not to brag) I was already a sensei, but as always we learn something which is what I did. I learnt that the paint roller is so helpful to make two different things look the same. Also, that was probably my favorite.

Camp 2018

Last week the Rooms 3 and 4 went to The Farm for a camp. The camp went from the 30/10/18 to 2/11/18(Tuesday to Friday.) Parents came along with us to help the kids as well as the teachers. The parents helped with breakfast, lunch, and dinner( and the snacks.) There was a range of activities we did.  We did Motorbikes, kayaking, horse riding and much more plus the things you would do on a normal farm. We also did night games. These "night games" were wolfpack, werewolf, and spotlight. We slept in tents. We slept for 3 nights and stayed for 4 days. On the last day(Friday(A.K.A the fourth day.)) we packed up and set home.

In class, we have been creating quotes relating to the garden. I chose the daffodil as yellow is my Pop's favourite colour.
